In laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastrointestinal tumor, a growing attention on higher detection rates of lymph node within a precise dissection scope has increased. Near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging is an innovative technique to visualize lymph nodes and lymphatic channels by intraoperatively injecting ICG into four quadrants of the submucosa around the tumor. Compared with conventional radical gastrectomy, sentinel lymph node(SLN)-navigated gastrectomy is considered a less invasive alternative that guide surgeons to perform a thorough lymphadenectomy without causing neurovascular injury and therefore helps to improve patients’ post‑operative life quality.
